One of the easiest trends to follow this Fall/Winter season: jewel tones! This basically consists of any deep, saturated color in the blue, purple, pink, red, and green families. Think teal, fuchsia, plum, etc. This is such an easy trend to follow because it’s colors that a lot of us already like, and it’s really easy to incorporate at least a little bit of color into just about any outfit! Here are a few simple and affordable ways:
This outfit from Loft is great for daytime or a nice weekend out. The corduroys (here in Pink Rouge) are on trend but toned down a bit, making them more appropriate for work. The splash of color in the bright blue belt adds an extra bit of color and helps tie in the light blue tailored blouse. The twill cropped blazer dresses up the entire outfit, and the light pink lining that is visible when the sleeves are rolled up ties the whole outfit together even more.
If you are more on the daring side, these denim leggings from PacSun are a great hue of Cobalt Blue. With atailored shirt and jacket, these leggings can be dressed down, similarly to the Loft outfit. Paired with a sexy pair of heels and a sequins-laden top, they can also work for a night out on the town. Some colors that really compliment this hue of blue are bright pink and fluorescent yellow. Add these colors in (in small doses!) by adding a skinny belt, tank, scarf, or jewelry.
This fabulous teal contoured t-shirt dress is from TopShop. It is super simple, and very chic. The great saturated color is perfect for this season. It is as versatile as it is gorgeous, too. It’s simple enough to wear to the office, yet with a bright or shiny (or both!) belt in place of the brown braided one, a cropped cardigan or denim jacket, and sexy peep-toed shoes, you’ll look great going out for a date!
No matter your daily fashion needs, gorgeous jewel tones is one trend that everyone can easily pull off! Take advantage!
